We believe that as we share in one another’s lives, we glorify God and live the faith that to which we are called. We work with a number of different organizations around our community and aboard. Here’s a handful of our current mission focus.
Family Promise
Family Promise provides a way for churches to work together to help homeless families. Each host congregation provides overnight lodging and (with the help of one or more support congregations) meals for three to four families for one week each, four times a year on a rotating basis. Affiliate “guests” stay in each congregation from about 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily. Nationally, more than 7,000 congregations participate in Family Promise with tens of thousands of volunteers who help families regain their independence.
Raise My Head Foundation
The mission of Raise My Head Foundation is to provide women who are breaking free from sex trafficking a safe residence away from damaging influences where they can receive healing and restoration.
Cuba Partnership
We raised funds for sheets, towels, dish towels, toiletries, and OTC medicines/vitamins. Many items that we take for granted but are either not available in Cuba or are very expensive. Four members of Covenant traveled to Cuba and helped two churches with ongoing projects. One church has a thriving laundry project serving the elderly and sick in the community. We helped purchase a second washing machine for the project. At Iglesia de Calabazar de Sagua, we helped with repairs and damages caused by hurricanes.
Deacon’s Food Pantry
Our food pantry is open Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 11 AM to anyone who is needing food.
